Purpose: To enhance the delivery of quality education at the tertiary level with specific focus on sustainable Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education.
Outputs:
Since its implementation, the Science and Engineering Education Project has sought to:
i) Construct a Science and Engineering Centre to enhance teaching and learning in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
(ii) Host five Annual Regional Accelerator for STEM Students Readiness (RASSR) camps to strengthen the best young minds in STEM from around Guyana.
(iii) Enhance student experience and promote excellence in academic and practicum performance of existing courses.
Anticipated Impacts:
i) Growing and modernising teaching, research and applications in agriculture and aquaculture; engineering and technology; earth sciences and environment; sustainable tourism and biological diversity.
