Purpose: Establish Digital Information Rooms to serve as a central space and operations centre to facilitate local and international teleconferencing meetings; virtual classrooms instructed from universities outside of Guyana, and data bank facilities.
Outputs:
Since its implementation in February 2024, the Information Rooms Project has sought to:
i) Establish 18 Information Rooms to facilitate participation in virtual classroom lectures locally and overseas.
ii) Access to digital content and library for staff, students, and researchers of the University of Guyana and Distance Education Learners.
Anticipated Impacts:
i) To produce an educated populace to aid in addressing Guyana’s socio-cultural challenges and harness the country’s economic potential.
